This conference focused on rebuilding Islam’s global image. This included sessions on creating a new narrative for Islam, Islamic leadership, and the Halal economy and Islamic finance. The Forum sought to understand and highlight the factors leading to misunderstandings of Muslim beliefs and how Islamic leadership can deconstruct and remedy this, along with providing a platform for Muslim leaders to find solutions for a more peaceful future.

The conference aimed to address the impact that Islamic values, beliefs, and teachings have on global models. In understanding this impact, the WMLF highlighted the changing influence that Islam has in a range of spheres, and the important and unique responses that Islam offers in finance, jurisprudence, development, and knowledge. Delegates included parliamentarians, politicians, experts and scholars, UN bodies, the interfaith community, activists, and policy leaders, as well as corporate leaders.
